Do you do psychotherapy for children?

No we do not. We do Speech, Occupational, Physical and Music Therapy for children.

What do I do to get my child in there?

First step is to call us, we will take down some basic information on you and your child and find out a little bit of what your needs are. We will schedule you for a no-charge 45 minute consultation with our Director. The purpose of this consultation is two-fold; we need to find out about your child's needs and any previous intervention and we want you to find out about us and what service we can offer.

How many times a week will my child come there?

That varies. After an evaluation is completed on your child the therapist will recommend a treatment plan of action. Treatment plans vary in duration and frequency. Availability of a therapist may also affect your child's treatment plan. All treatment requires a doctor's prescription and we would work to gain authorization for treatment from your insurance company.

What happens in therapy?

The therapy we are able to provide is all one on one therapy, meaning one therapist, with one child. Therapy is direct and individualized. Goals and objectives are tailored for your child's needs and sessions are planned around those goals. Therapy many times looks like play, however under closer observation one will see specific attention being given to the child's goals and objectives.
